The City of Sacramento offers beautiful parks and gardens as unique outdoor sites for small intimate weddings. To ensure our park and garden resources are protected and disturbances of the neighbors are minimized, we do enforce capacity and activity limitations. Please review the following policies that apply to weddings in our gardens and parks.
The parks and gardens are designed for small, intimate weddings. To protect the parks and gardens, wedding parties must be less than 200 people. Weddings which exceed this limitation or damage to park resources may be required to forfeit the damage deposit.
Amplified sound is not allowed in McKinley Park including the Rose Garden. This includes drums and loud radios. Tape recorded wedding music, acoustical instruments and vocals are allowed.
City parks are located in residential neighborhoods with narrow streets and limited street parking. It is very important that you consider and be prepared to observe the following rules regarding vehicles and access:
a. No vehicles allowed in the parks or the gardens.
b. Loading, limousine and passenger drop-off area for the Rose Garden is provided in an access road next to the garden.
c. Please observe the No Parking or parking
limitation signs in the parks and neighborhoods. In particular, please
do not park on sidewalks, intersection corners or in front of residential
driveways. The streets are patrolled and Illegally parked vehicles are
subject to a $23 fine.
