Marriott Park Improvements

The Marriott Park Improvements project is currently in the design phase. The project's first public meeting was held on 6-20-07 and the City received input from the community as to what they would like to have in the park.

"The second public meeting was be held on 7-23-07. A proposed plan which included the following improvements: a 50' x 50' shade canopy over the tot lot and sand play area, 3 dog waste dispensers, enlargement of the existing picnic area, and 3 additional trash cans was reviewed and approved by the community with minor revisions. The community requested for the shade canopy color to be beige, the dog waste dispensers located away from the entrance of the park and a spigot to be added to the existing drinking fountain.

The construction documents are currently being developed.

The tentative project schedule is as follows:
Construction begins - spring 2008
Construction ends - summer/fall 2008
