The City Council approved the 2008 Parks and Recreation Programming Guide (PRPG) in November 2008. The guide evaluates and scores park and facility projects for funding and development prioritization. A new Parks and Recreation Programming Guide is prepared every two years.

Throughout the year, staff works to identify funding for PRPG priority and other opportunity projects identified in the PRPG based on available funding sources. Once a project is funded as described in the PRPG, a scope, schedule and budget are developed. The project is then added to the City's Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and removed from the PRPG. When a portion of a project is funded, the funded portion of the project can move into the CIP, the PRPG project is then rescoped, reevaluated and rescored. Any New Project Form submitted will have the project added to the 2010 PRPG

The 2008 PRPG submittal process has concluded and the scoring process is underway.  Any new project requests will be included in the 2010 PRPG.
