The Aquatics Section offers lifeguard training opportunities for persons 15 years and over that are interested in developing job skills to become a lifeguard. If you want to be a lifeguard for Summer 2010, it’s not too early to start planning! Classes begin in February!

The cost of the class is $100. You must attend all days of
the course. Please note that some classes are on weekends,
weekdays (spring break schedule) or weekday evenings.
($100 fee will be reimbursed to persons who pass this course, apply to work for the City of Sacramento and SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE the season). City lifeguards are eligible for incentives and free CPR and First Aid classes. Don’t wait until June to train to be a lifeguard!

Check back for further information on 2010 Lifeguard Academy classes.
