The following are street and/or sidewalk closures for the time frame beginning Friday November 06, 2009. 

DOWNTOWN AREA

SHORT-TERM SIDWALK & STREET CLOSURES

  • F Street –btwn- 19th Street and 20th Street (full street closure of F to allow Union Pacific Railroad, from Thrusday November 12 through Monday November 16, to allow them to make repairs to their rail road crossing).
  • 6th Street –btwn- I Street and Q Street (periodic traffic lane and sidewalk closures for an underground utility project).
  • 7th Street –btwn- Merchant Street and L Street (sidewalk closed on the east side of 7th Street for various construction activities). 
  • 12th Street –btwn- C Street and J Street (periodic traffic lane closures for a utility project and a light rail project).
  • L Street –btwn- 11th Street and 13th Street (periodic traffic lane closures for a City of Sacramento Water Main Replacement Project).
  • 12th Street –btwn- N Street and Q Street (periodic traffic lane closures for a utility project).
  • 12th Street –btwn- L Street and J Street (periodic traffic lane closures for a utility project).
  • Front Street –btwn- O Street and R Street (periodic traffic lane closures for the City of Sacramento’s promenade extension project).
  • Q Street –btwn- 6th street and 7th Street (periodic traffic lane closures for various construction activities).
  • P Street –btwn- 6th Street and 7th Street (periodic traffic lane closures for various construction activities).
  • 6th Street –btwn- P Street and Q Street (periodic street and sidewalk closure for building project)

SPECIAL EVENTS:

LONG TERM SIDEWALK & STREET CLOSURES

  • 20th Street –btwn- J Street and k Street (full street closure of 20th street to build and operate the Midtown Ice Skating Rink).
  • 29th Street –btwn- Capital Ave and L Street (traffic lane and sidewalk closed on the east side of the street for the Sutter General construction project).
  • Q Street –btwn- 6thth Street and 8th Street (Parking lane, traffic lane and sidewalk are closed, on the north side of the street, for various construction activities).
  • P Street –btwn- 6th Street and 7th Street (traffic lane and sidewalk closure on the south side of the street for building construction project).
  • Q Street -btwn- 6th and 7th Street (sidewalk is closed, on the north side, for building construction project).
  • 2nd Street –btwn- P Street and O Street (2nd street will be completely closed, to relocate the street, west of its’ present location to facilitate the expansion of the Crocker Art Museum).
  • 8TH Street –btwn- L Street and K Street Mall (Sidewalk closed on the eastside of the street for sidewalk
  • L Street –btwn- 27th Street and 30th Street (L Street is reduced to one traffic lane for construction of the
    Sutter General tunnel.
  • P Street -btwn- 6th and 7th Street (sidewalk and parking lane are closed, on the south side of the street, for various construction activities).
  • P street -btwn- 7th street and 8th street (The sidewalk and the parking lane, on the south side, are closed.  The number one traffic lane is closed).
  • 7th street – btwn- P street and Q street (The sidewalk and the parking lane, on the east side, are closed.  The number one traffic lane is closed).

NORTH AREA

North of the River

SHORT-TERM SIDEWALK & STREET CLOSURES

  • Garden Hwy –btwn- Orchard Lane and Gateway Oaks Drive (full street closure of Garden Hwy and some periodic traffic lane closures for a utility project this weekend starting Friday night)
  • El Camino Ave –btwn- Empress Street and Del Paso Blvd (Sidewalk closed, on the south side of El Camino, with periodic traffic lane closures for various construction activities).
  • El Camino Ave –btwn- Oxford Street and Rio Del Paso Blvd (periodic traffic lane closures for various construction activities).
  • Dixieanne Ave –btwn- Erickson Street and Clay Street (periodic street closures and sidewalk closures for various construction activities).
  • Del Paso Road/Main Ave –btwn- Blackrock Drive and Rio Linda Blvd (periodic traffic lane closures for City of Sacramento Water Main Project.)

SPECIAL EVENTS:

EAST AREA

East of 30th Street

SHORT-TERM SIDEWALK & STEET CLOSURES

  • 45th Street S Street to T Street (periodic traffic lane closures for a utility project).
  • J Street –btwn- Campus Commons and Camellia (periodic traffic lane and sidewalk closures for a bridge inspection project).
  • Howe Ave –btwn- Folsom and Cucamonga (periodic traffic lane closures for TS&M project).
  • Folsom Blvd –btwn- Seville and Alhambra (sidewalk closed, on the East side of Folsom, for various construction activities).
  • H Street @ 39th street (periodic traffic lane closures for the Mercy Hospital expansion project). 
  • 39th Street –btwn- J Street and H Street (periodic traffic lane closures, with flaggers, for the Mercy Hospital expansion project).

SOUTH AREA

South of Broadway

SHORT-TERM SIDEWALK & STREET CLOSURES   

 

  • Riverside Blvd (btwn Sutterville Road and 25th Ave (periodic traffic lane closures for an underground utility project).
  • 14th Ave –btwn- 65th Street and Power Inn (periodic traffic lane closures for traffic marking project)
  • Elder Creek Road btwn- Power Inn Road and Logan Street (periodic traffic lane closures for a large utility project).
  • 65th Street –btwn- Hwy 50 and Broadway (periodic traffic lane closures On 65 Street and Kroy  Street a pathway improvement project).
  • Center Parkway –btwn- Bruceville and Jacinto (periodic traffic lane closures for median landscape project).
  • Martin Luther Kind Blvd –btwn 8th Ave and 22nd Ave (periodic traffic lane closures for a utility project).  Night work.
  • Lemon Hill –btwn- Power Inn and 65th Street (periodic traffic lane closures for a large utility project).
