J Street – CSUS entrance and throughout east Sacramento

Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26 - 8:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

Run to Feed the Hungry 5k/10k runs to start at entrance to CSUS and finish at 56th and H streets. Streets along route will be closed with exception of Elvas Avenue which will be open except between McKinley Boulevard and Coloma Way, where only westbound traffic will be allowed. See map for route. Parking will also be restricted throughout route.

F Street between 19th and 20th streets

Wednesday, November 18, 8 a.m. through afternoon of Friday, November 20

F Street will be closed to all vehicles and pedestrians at the railroad crossing between 19th and 20th street. No through traffic will be allowed and will be detoured. The City is partnering with Union Pacific Railroad to provide traffic control while Union Pacific revamps the entire crossing.

20th Street between J and the alley north of K Street

Monday, November 2, through, Monday,
February 1

Street closure starts November 2 for Midtown ice rink construction. Street will be closed between J and the alley north of K street. In addition, the northbound lane of 20th street between the alley and K Street will be closed, the southbound lane will remain open to local traffic.

Garden Highway from Gateway Oaks Drive to Orchard Lane

Friday, October 23 through mid December

The Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency (SAFCA)work on the levee is requiring lane closures, one lane at a time. One lane will be open with two-way traffic flagged by crew through approximately late December.

August through July 2010

Water transmission main replacement. Various traffic impacts/lane closures throughout the entire project. Please see the webpage for details about when and where the work is taking place and related impacts. The page will be updated as the project progresses.

2nd Street between O and P streets

8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The street is closed due to on-going construction at Crocker Art Museum. Drivers are to follow detour signs. Periodic lane closures are expected around the buildings perimeter throughout the project.
