Proposed FY 2009/2010 and FY 2010/2011 Rates
The City of Sacramento is proposing a 2 year rate increase for its utility bills.
The first year’s total proposed increase is 16% and the second year’s total proposed increase is 16.6% for the average residential customer for all City utility services.
Additionally, the Department of Utilities is proposing a restructure to its metered water rates. The proposed rate consists of a fixed monthly service rate based on the size of the water meter providing service to the property (approximately 40% of the bill for a median water user) and a charge for each 100 cubic feet (1 CCF= 748 gallons of water) of water used.
