2nd Saturday free shuttle stops

Shuttle stops along J Street, L Street, and Capitol Avenue will help relieve traffic and assist with pedestrian flow and make it easy for people to park once and traverse various pockets of Midtown and Downtown Sacramento’s public art tapestry.   “The City and the Midtown businesses are deploying the shuttle to emphasize that Second Saturday is all about people enjoying walking around the Central City,” said Vice Mayor Cohn.  “You can bike or park your car and walk everywhere. It’s a great pedestrian experience.”

Parking lots available for those that park and walk include the East End Garage at 17th and L Streets ($2.00 prepaid) and Sutter Parking Garage at 29th and Capitol Avenue ($5.00 prepaid).

Second Saturdays in Midtown began 16 years ago and have become a great draw for the public to experience art, food and drink tastings, and local music.  MBA President Aaron Zeff added that monthly gathering “has evolved into one of the largest urban art festivals nationally with myriad galleries, retailers, and restaurants hosting artist openings for the evening.”
